Jimmy And Dash First Became Members Of, One West Texas Most Popular Rock Groups, "Dean Beard And The Crew Cats". In Order To Get More Playing Dates Many Of The Local Rock Bands Changed Their Formats To Include Country & Western Swing. When Los Angeles Studio Musicians Recorded Their Smash Hit, "Tequila" In 1958, A Road Band Was Needed And This Opened The Door For Jimmy Seals And Dash Crofts. A Short Time Later Dean Beard Joined Up With The Champs. After 7 Years With The Champs Jimmy And Dash Formed Their Own Group, The Dawnbreakers. Next Came The Duo: Seals And Crofts, And With Their New Found Harmony And Song Writing, Came The Hits And The Bucks. Eight Top 40's In The Seventies Plus Eight Albums. 5 Albums Went Gold & 1 Went Platinum. Three Of Their Singles, Diamond Girl, Summer Breeze, And Get Closer Went To #6 In The Top Pop Charts. Besides Being Talented Writers And Singers Jimmy And Dash Were Also Accomplished Musicians Playing On Their Own Recordings. (Mandolin & Guitar). "Seals And Crofts" (The Top Seventies Duo) Songs Are Still Being Heard Around The World In The Nineties. A Family Group, First Formed In 1971 As "The Down Home Folks" Consisiting Of: Buck, His Wife Patty, & Their Daughters Sharon & Cheryl. In The Early Fifties Buck Was A Session Man On Piano, Guitar & Mandolin. (Patty Dropped Out Of The Group In 73') From 1981 To 1987 The Whites Had 14 Charted Songs With 12 Making The Top 40. Buck, Sharon, & Cheryl Were All Lead Singers But On Their 5 Top-Ten Hits Sharon Sang Lead With Buck & Cheryl Singing Back-up Harmony. Ricky Skaggs Helped Out On Guitar & Fiddle As He's Married To Sharon. Sharon Is Also An Accomplished Guitar Player Playing On Most Of The Recordings. All Their Records Enjoyed Longevity With "Pins & Needles" Staying On The Charts 22 Weeks. Bill Graham, Former Bass Player With Dean Beard And From Brownwood, Wrote One Of Their Top 10 Hits Entitled: "Give Me Back That Old Familiar Feeling" In 1984 The Whites Became Members Of The Grand Ole Opry.
