WEST TEXAS MUSIC HONOR ROLL

LOS LONELY BOYS

The Tex-Mex group, Los Lonely Boys, is originally from Snyder, Texas moving to San Angelo consisting of 3 brothers Henry Garza (guitar), Jo Jo Garza (bass) and Ringo Garza (drums). Their father, Ringo Sr. was at one time a member of a band, The Falcones, made up of his brothers. After they broke up Ringo Sr. went solo being backed by his 3 sons even before they had reached their teens. The family group relocated to Nashville in the 90’s and gradually the sons emerged as a group separate from their father. After returning back to Texas their debut album entitled “Los Lonely Boys” was recorded in 2003 at Willie Nelson’s Studio in Austin. In 2004 Epic picked the album up for national distribution resulting in a top 10 hit in the Billboard Top 200 Album Charts with the single “How Far Is Heaven” reaching #1 in Adult Contemporary, #16 in the Top !00 and #46 in the Country charts. The album became RIAA Certified double platinum winning a Grammy for “Best Pop Performance By A Group”.
