DEBBIE REYNOLDS

Mary Francis Reynolds Was Born On April 1st In El Paso, Texas.  At Age 8 Her Family Moved To Burbank, California.  At Age 16 She Won The Miss Burbank Contest And Then Warner Brothers Signed Her To A Movie Contract Giving Her The Name Debbie Reynolds.  In The fifties She Married Singer Eddie Fisher And They Had Two Children Carrie And Todd.  Debbie's Recording Of Tammy, From the Movie, Became One Of The Top Songs Of 1957.  She Followed With Two More Pop Hits Including "Am I That Easy To Forget" A Country Song Written By Carl Belew.  In 1959 America's Sweetheart Was Involved In One Of Hollywood's Sensational Shockers As Fisher Walked Out On Debbie for Liz Taylor.  In The Nineties Daughter, Carrie Fisher, Became Famous On Her Own Starring In The "Star Wars" Movie.  In 1997 The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Hotel And Casino Opened In Las Vegas.  But Unlike Her Movie "The Unsinkable Molly Brown" The Casino Went Under.  Debbie Starred In 32 Movies Receiving One Oscar Nomination.  Her Hit Record, From 1957, "Tammy" Holds The Title As The #1 Song For All Of Texas.

Bobby Fuller Was Born In Goose Creek, Texas And Attended Burges High School In El Paso.  In 1957 Bobby Became A Popular Rockabilly Teen Idol In The El Paso Area.  Bobby Had The Good Looks, the Singing Talent Plus He Played Drums And Lead Guitar.  He Was A Big Fan Of Elvis But It Was Buddy Holly Who Became The Undiputed King Of His Musicical Influences.  His Obsession With Buddy Would Continue For The Rest Of His Life Influencing Every Aspect Of His Music Career.  In 1965 Bobby Was Quoted Saying:  "What We Play Is Texas Rock & Roll...And It's Nothing New.  It's The Same Thing The Beatles Have Been Trying To Play But Can't...They Come Close But They're Not From West Texas"  After A Stint In California With His Band (Brother Randall On Bass) He Moved Back To El Paso Opening A Teen Club. Bobby Recorded A Sonny Curtis (Crickets) Song "I Fought The Law" In His Garage Studio That Became A Local Favorite.  In 1965, When The British Invasion Was In Full Swing, The Bobby Fuller Four Were Back Out On The West Coast Where They Were Riding A Crest Of Popularity.  George Harrison (Beatles) Cited The "Four" As One Of His Most Listen To Groups During 1966.  The Group Appeared With Herman's Hermits And In The Movie "Ghost In The Invisible Bikini".  The Group Finally Hit The National Charts When They Re-Recorded "I Fought The Law"  Which Climbed To #9.  Follow-Up Release Was A Buddy Holly Written Song "Love's Made A Fool Of You" At #26.  Bobby Recorded A Total 30 Records And 10 Albums.  In Late 1966 Bobby Fuller (23) Was Found Murdered In His Car (Died From Forced Gasoline Asphyxiation).
