PAULA DEANDA

 

Paula DeandaPaula Dacia Deanda was born in San Angelo in 1989 to Mexican parents and began taking piano lessons at an early age along with performing at family gatherings, parties and charity events. Her first public performances, around San Angelo, were at weddings and private parties in which she would either sing solo or as a back-up vocalist. When she was 13 her family, thinking she had some potential, decided to move to Corpus Christi in order to further her career. Paula’s big break came when she auditioned for Clive Davis which led immediately to her signing a major label contract with Arista. Paula began recording Pop, Dance, Latin Pop and R&B songs with 3 making the Billboard Singles Charts. “Doing Too Much” #20 “Walk Away” #10 & “Easy” #35. Her album “Paula Deanda” charted #54. Paula’s music influences were Selena, Aaliyah, Shania Twain and LeAnn Rimes.
